A Burleigh Ware flower trough in pale green, shaped like a canoe being paddled by a Indigenous American wearing a feathered head dress. It measures 22cm long x 6cm x10cm high. It was made by Burgess & Leigh at Burslem in Stoke-on-Trent, with their maker's mark stamped on the base - this particular mark features a beehive surrounded by leaves, which allows us to date the piece to the 1930s.
