Vintage industrial Crouse Hinds lamp and height adjustable stand. 1960s.
A beautifully restored Crouse Hinds flood lamp, originally from RAF Alconbury (Alconbury is a decommissioned USAF base in Cambridgeshire). This is a large, stylish lamp and has significant presence as a feature lamp. The stripped industrial finish reveals materials that are both high quality and aesthetically pleasing.
The lamp body and lens bezel are cast aluminium. The ribbed glass lens gives a circular soft edged beam (very practical, especially as an uplighter!). The telescopic stand has a heavy cast iron base and is height adjustable.
Dimensions: 43cm diameter body, total height from floor to top of lamp is 155cm (as photographed, which is the recommended max.).
The spotlight provides a circular soft-edged beam. One of the bezel clamps has been repaired at some stage (looks like a decent military type repair with threaded dowel inserted into the casting - there is a close up photo).
The lamp has been rewired for domestic use and comes with:4 metres of heat resistant cable, ceramic screw (es) lampholder, inline switch, The lamp has been PAT tested for electrical safety.
