Strand Patt 123 theatre light / stage lamp on vintage wooden tripod
A superb, original Strand Pattern 123 vintage stage/ theatre light. Originating from 1957 this lamp is generally regarded as an industrial design classic.
The aluminium die-cast lamp body has been vapour blasted and then professionally
polished to a high standard. The lamp's dimensions are: 265mm (10.5 inch) from back to front, 203mm (8 inch) diameter cast body, 153mm (6 inch) diameter Fresnel lens. The spotlight provides a circular soft-edged beam - the beam width is adjustable using the thumb wheel located under the body.
The lamp is mounted on a WW1 era hard wood tripod with brass head and hinges. This is an incredible hand-made tripod – a work of art in its own right.
The height is 1,67 m from floor to top of lamp. A typical distance between the legs is 55cm.
The lamp has been rewired for domestic use and comes with: an in-line switch, 4 metres of heat resistant three core cable (earthed), GU10 LED bulb. The unit has been PAT tested for electrical safety.
