Strand Patt 123 theatre light / stage lamp on original telescopic studio stand
A superb, original Strand Pattern 123 vintage stage/ theatre light. Originating from 1957 this lamp is generally regarded as an industrial design classic.
This is the real Mccoy- Both lamp and studio stand are c.1950. Look at the high quality close up photos for high quality, British engineering.
The aluminium die-cast lamp body has been vapour blasted and then professionally polished to a high standard. The lamp's dimensions are: 265mm (10.5 inch) from back to front, 203mm (8 inch) diameter cast body, 153mm (6 inch) diameter Fresnel lens. The spotlight provides a circular soft-edged beam - the beam width is adjustable using the thumb wheel located under the body.
The lamp is mounted on a vintage telescopic studio stand with wheels and is from a similar period to the lamp.
The height range is 1,36 m to over 2 m from floor to centre of lamp spindle. Distance between the wheels is approximately 46cm, length of each leg is approximately 28cm.
The lamp has been rewired for domestic use and comes with: an in-line switch, 4 metres of heat resistant three core cable (earthed), GU10 LED bulb. The unit has been PAT tested for electrical safety.
